Gonorrhoea infections are increasing in the UK, especially in men. There is evidence that there are changes in the type of sex people are having and who with, for example having multiple relationships.

Researchers from University College London are trying to understand how men who have been diagnosed with gonorrhoea might feel about a new technique to help doctors and nurses make decisions about treatment and care. If you have been diagnosed with gonorrhoea before you can contribute to this research.

The research will be looking at a technique called Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS). This is where a test is done on a sexually transmitted infection (STI) sample, like gonorrhoea, that helps understand how STIs are spread amongst different and similar groups of people. This has the potential to help sexual health staff know the best tests, treatments and advice to give to patients.

To contribute, you need to register your interest here. Participation will involve an online interview lasting up to 90 minutes and you will will be given a shopping voucher to thank you for your time.
