Diversity In Rugby Documentary ‘Everybody’s Game’ Launches

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Amazon Prime will this week launch a documentary by Bath Rugby player, Beno Obano. The launch will coincide with the Autumn Nations Cup.

Everybody’s Game features other professional rugby players that include Maro Itoje, Anthony Watson, Ellis Genge and Biyi Alo.

Beno Obano who plays as a prop for Bath Rugby, hopes the documentary will encourage a more diverse participation in rugby.

I think rugby has traditionally been a sport played and watched by middle-class white people. But, I’ve been able to benefit in so many ways from rugby and I obviously don’t fit that description. With this documentary I want to change the perception of rugby and expose it to more people by telling the stories of non-traditional rugby players in the hope that those spectating and participating in rugby may slowly begin to grow and diversify

Beno Obano

The documentary will be available on Amazon Prime. (Amazon Prime is a subscription only service)

Sport is a good pathway to wellness for many so we look forward to this one.
